CLPA's Rubber Duck Derby & Antique Car Show

Cascade Locks Park Association (CLPA) is celebrating its 20th anniversary with its first Rubber Duck Derby and Antique Car Show. The Rubber Duck Derby and Antique Car Show will take place next Saturday, July 18th from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cascade Locks Park.

Admission is FREE.

CLPA will toss the rubber ducks into the Ohio & Erie Canal at lock 11 and let them race to the finish line at lock 12. The “Big Race” will take place at 11 a.m , prizes for first, second, and third place will be awarded. Rubber ducks for the big race are $5 each or 5 ducks for $20. Participants of this race will also be entered into door prize drawings.

A 50/50 Rubber duck race of up to 100 ducks will take place at 12:30 p.m.; winner will receive 50% of the proceeds of this race. Rubber ducks for the 50/50 race are $10 each. Winners need not be present.

There will be an Antique Car Show in the Cascade Valley Trailhead parking lots from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. the same day. Parking for event attendees is available at the Beech Street Trailhead, GearStar, and St. Vincent/ St. Mary’s parking lots with a shuttle to the park. The day will also include: mini rubber ducky races in the Mustill Store backyard, kids craft station, lunch available for $4, and musical entertainment by the Brick Road Ramblers.
