On Monday, Sept 20, there will be an open casting call at 5 p.m. for Bolero Akron, a new dance work celebrating the energy and excitement of the Akron community.
No dance experience is required. Nationally renowned choreographer Larry Keigwin of Keigwin Company is seeking to cast 50-100 community members for the world premiere performance of Bolero Akron on Saturday, Oct 2, at The University of Akron's E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall.
Cast members will recieve two free tickets to the performance, plus discounts for additional tickets.
The open casting begins at 5 p.m. on Sept 20 in the Center for Dance and Theatre at Guzzetta Hall, 139 E. Buchtel Ave., at The University of Akron. Rehearals for Bolero Akron will take place during several evenings and during the day of the performance.
