Akron Peace Project: Peace Week

Zach Freidhof from the Love Initiative and Bekey Hewit from The Battered Women’s Shelter and Rape Crisis Center of Summit & Medina Counties have come together to create the Akron Peace Project. The Akron Peace Project ‘s objective is to encourage peace within our self, home and community.
The project is hosting an activity-filled week that will take place September 25-October 2, 2010 throughout the City of Akron. With the help of volunteers, sponsors and supporters, activities will include an official proclamation of “Akron Peace Week” by the City of Akron, dog walk, speakers, art show, meditation, travelling peace museum exhibit, film, music (featuring Zach) and more!
