
A program to create a cohesive streetscape is underway with new trash containers and newspaper corrals. The pilot program has placed five trash containers and a newspaper corral in the Northside District of Downtown.
New Downtown wayfinding signage will be completed by the City over the next year that will make getting around Downtown easier for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The first sign was installed on the corner of Market and High streets earlier this year. The signage will highlight key Downtown destinations and parking.
30 hanging flower baskets have been added to Main Street to complement the unique concrete planters throughout Downtown.
25 Downtown businesses took part in Adopt a Planter in its first year. Businesses were responsible for selecting flowers and greenery and planting them in their adopted DAP planter. Call 330-374-7676 to find out more about Adopt a Planter or print and send in your application.
